Some photos of our National Day, May 17th. And some from the day before.. We spent the weekend at my parents place. One one of the photos, you'll see me with my grandma and my younger sister. But mostly it's just pics of my kids! Are'nt they lovely in their Bunad?!?!?!?

Springtime
April is here!
That means Spring is here!! But, I must say...I can hardly see it, due to all of the snow we still have here!!
But the birds are singing, and as soon as my damaged knee is well,-I will enjoy walking on solid pavement in stead of ice and snow!

A new year..thoughts and facts..
Christmas and New Year is over..
We had a nice time. For Christmas we went to my parents house, and for New Year we stayed home. My brother-in-law came with his girlfriend to stay with us for two weeks. He lives in Ireland, and she is from Slovakia. They are really nice people. We had a nice time together, both here at home and at the cabin. The weather was really cold, so sadly we did not get to go out as much as we would like to.. Emilijan-Andrè is to young to be out when the temperature is below -10 degrees celsius. (about 14 F ), and those days it went all the way down to -27 C (-16.6 F)
We still have that cold here..
It is very nice outside, even if it is cold.. The sun is back, after months away. We have snow and clear blue sky...and poor Emilijan has to stay inside :o(
We have a cold house, so we constantly have to use our fireplace, and starting to get low on wood.. Sitting next to our windows in the livingroom is way too cold! We have ice on the inside of them :o(
But, comparing to other, less fortunate, people both here in Norway, USA and other places in the world..we are lucky! We have a house. We have food. My housband has a job, and our kids have clothes to wear!!
I am thinking a lot about those poor poor kids in Haiti... I wish there was somethink I could do for them..If I had money I would have adopted a couple of those kids whome lost their parents..of if I've had the opportunity I would have gone over there to help in any way I could..
When I am not thinking about those in need...I am beeing selfish..thinking about me! I hate our house!! I hate living where we live..I hate the fact that our neighbours knows our every need! Hate the fact that our house is cold and SMALL!!!
I am having a bad period now,,,mentally.. I am depressed and my fear of how people see me,,,is strong. :o(
I hope to get better soon!
Well..
My time to write for now, is over! Emilijan is getting tired, and has to get ready for his day-time-nap! He stills sleep about two hours in midday, and I love that time for myself!!!
see ya!!

Christmas cookies and TV-series!!
I bake and I bake and I bake!!
Our tradition here in Norway is to have 7 different kind of cookies for Christmas..Homemade!
So far I have 5. Tomorrow I will bake one more kind,,and on Saturday the last one! It takes planning. This baking. Have to make the dough with my baby in the highchair next to the counter,,,then, when he has his day-time-nap, I get to finish them!
I like to bake, so it's not so bad doing it.. What's hard, is that I do not get much time during the days to relax. And after the kids are put to bed, I have gifts to wrap! But some evenings are Holy! My TV days!! Monday used to be my ER-day, but now that it is over (sooo sad...I loved that show!!), I've started on a new one, starring Monica from Friends! And Lipstick Jungle!! Then on Tuesday, I enjoy Grace Anathomy or Desperate Houswives (depending on season). On Wednesdays I used to watch Brothers and Sisters, but they are on a break now :o( I allso watch Dollhouse!
As you can read,,,I am a fan of TV-series!!
And: Everyday (unless something important comes up), at 4pm, I have my 25 minutes of TV, watching the Australian soap Home and Away!!! It's been on for years and years.... love it!!
wow!!
I sound like a very weird person now!!!
But dont worry,,I am not all about TV!!!
well..
later!!

December..
The Christmas-month is here!!
Drago and I went shopping for gifts, in Bodø! For the first time in allmost 2years we spent two whole days just the two of us!! My sister was an angel, and babysat the kids at our house!!
We got to shop most of the gifts for x-mas, we ate dinner at a nice restaurant, and went to the movie! We saw the great movie 2012!! I like those kind of films..but they scare me too!!
Here is my housband, in the snow in Bodø!

Today was the 1th of december..and our tradition is having a calendar where the kids get to open one gift every day until x-mas! Since it is very expensive to make one for 3 kids, we are making it a bit different this year: They get one chokolate-calendar each (they are very cheap calendars with one tiny bit of chokolate for each day!), and then they get one gift every third day..that way they still get some gifts..but without ruining us!!
I must say..times are really changing.. We are getting more and more materialistic..
When I was a kid,,all we got was one chokolate calendar...and that was HUGE for us, since we only got to eat a little bit of candy every Saturday!! I remember one year I got a calendar with tiny tiny plastic figures, ment to making a necklace of!! I was so happy for it!!
Anyway.. my kids get more than I ever got! But they are not as spoiled as many of their friends.. I try to learn them that buying things does not make someone happy..it's the tings we do! So many of the days in the calendar, their gift is to do something with their family,,like baking christmas-cookies!!
Here is a photo of me and my youngest,,where he is getting his very first chokolate-calendar

an update
The flue has arrived! Me and Tore-Nikolai took the vaccine on Friday,, but seems to be too late for us.. At least for Tore-Nikolai. He is sick with fever, headace, hard caughing and generally just tired and without energy. Feel bad for him :o( I just have a terrible caugh and feel a bit "of". Johan-Petter has a sore throat so I hope he will not get worse.. Whats more to say... Emilijan-Andrè is walkin like a hero now! For a while, after his first steps, he just prefered to crawl, but now he is walking more than crawling!! He is a mummy-boy! allways whining when I leave him. And prefere me over everyone else, including his dad. Tires me out sometimes.. But he is cute, so I surrender to him all the time!! Johan-Petter has got a new keyboard, and he learned to play pretty fast!! just listen!!
He has allways gotten a good talen for music. We would like to send him to music-school a couple of hours a week,,but it is very expencive, and a loooong waitinglist to get in! For the time beeing both my big boys are playing soccer once a week, and they enjoy it. Johan-Petter allso used to be a boyscout, but he gave it up a couple of weeks ago :O( I think that is sad, couse I believe it is important to get out in the nature, learning to respect it. Our family are really fan of spending time out in the woods!! When the snow comes, both boys will be starting their skiing-activity. Doing small skiing-cups, cross country. They havent tryed slalom yet, because it is expencive,,but since we live practically right under the skiing hill,, they should get to try it soon! I have never tryed it either..but I have tryed snowboarding,,,and loved it! But after I got kids, my pelvis is ruined, so I do not dare to try again! But I will let the kids try it!! what else... I am still dreaming about winning that brand new Toyota Verso!! I know my chance is slim,,,but still...I am allowed to hope--right??
